The Spiral Freezer is available with single, double, and triple drums and can freeze food in IQF form and on trays or in boxes. The freezers operate with the energy saving principle of rapid linear airflow known as Horizontal-flow®. This system offers great savings in terms of reduced energy consumption and ensures a rapid and uniform freezing.

The Spiral Freezer only requires defrosting once a week, even with products registering an inlet temperature of 80°C. The spiral freezers are high on efficiency and low on maintenance costs.

The Crust Freezers are designed for the initial IQF freezing of the outer layer of food prior to deep freezing, pressing, slicing, or portioning.

Crust freezing seals and hardens the surface of the individual product in a very short time. This increases the product quality as the ice crystals remain small. It also allows you to keep the original shape of the food before deep freezing, slicing, or portioning it.

Versions

RF defrosters ensure a rapid and uniform defrosting process, eliminating the need for large thawing rooms.

In contrast with the conventional defrosting systems where they are slow and often generate product waste due to the poor process control, RF defrosting is an endogenous and instantaneous method that delivers the product ready for the next step in a few minutes: the product to be defrosted, either in blocks or IQF, is placed on the conveyor belt of the RF machine and is submitted to rapid dielectric heating that brings its temperature just below the melting point of water, with no drip loss or bacterial deterioration.
